Allow me to walk you through our custom design process here at Bentley De Lisle jewellers. We will guide you through the initial stages of design which appeals to your individual tastes or take your design concept, and advise with photo’s and some basic sketches, to create a design to your satisfaction. This part of the process may take half an hour or up to an hour to complete, but we put no time limit to this process.

One area that we may need to go over in the initial custom design consult is Diamonds. Diamonds are a wealth of information and knowledge to fully understand and we will take all the time necessary to explain the 4C’s in a simple and comprehesible way. I will show you how to loop a stone so you may know the mysteries and myths behind purchasing a Diamond before you make what could be one of the most important decisions in your life. There is no better satisfaction than choosing your precious stone for you (or both of you). From this point, it’s a matter of putting a price together for the finished product and phoning or emailing through a quote.

Most of our jewellery that we manufacture today is made via Jewel CAD (computer aided design) which we’ve been using to manufacture for the jewellery industry for the past 3 years which is a relatively new concept to our manufacturing process. It can be 3 dimensionally printed, cast and hand finished to exceptional quality. The end result is as good or if not better, than a fabricated piece. CAD is more cost effective, especially for art deco jewellery or custom made wedding rings which we are highly regarded for.
